Who are we?

CATFLAP is a registered Scottish charity (SC026114) which was founded in 1997.  Our mission is to rescue and rehome lost, abandoned and unwanted cats and kittens.  We are run solely by volunteers and since our formation have rehomed over 4,000 beautiful cats and kittens.

We take the privacy of our website visitors very seriously.  This Privacy Notice explains how and why we use the personal data that you provide to us via the website.  As you provide your personal data to us, we process it based on your consent in order to respond to you accordingly.

We understand the importance of protecting your data.  We therefore take all reasonable technical measures to prevent the loss, misuse, destruction, alteration, unauthorised disclosure of or access to your personal information.

Access to all data we hold is password controlled, again with knowledge of these passwords restricted to those who respond to all queries, applications and emails received.

Ultimately, data transmission over the internet is inherently insecure, and we cannot guarantee the security of data sent over the internet.

We only retain personal data for as long as it is necessary for the purpose for which it was originally provided.
